If you’re anything like me, it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of everyday life to plan some weekend fun. This isn’t so bad of a crime, except when it just so happens to be a holiday weekend. My family and I will be enjoying this Independence Day watching the World Cup games (insert tear here due to the USA team being disqualified) and then dedicate the evening to more festive activities. We’ll participate in the usual tradition of watching fireworks at the park during the nighttime, but I thought I’d round up my favorite Fourth of July ideas that are quick and simple and pick one to do later on in the afternoon. Each could easily be done at a last-minute basis, while still have the same Fourth of July effect as any other activity. Click on whichever title to get direction on how to execute each idea!
DIY Treats & Decor Ideas (plus outfit ideas!)
YouTube’s Miss Glamorazzi does a fantastic job of simplifying a yummy DIY treat plus inspires us to go outside and enjoy the sun. All the ingredients in her DIY treat could easily be picked up at the market and don’t require any prep time.
Princess and The Frog + Firecracker Popcorn
Can anybody think of a more fun movie to watch on Fourth of July? One that combines the magic of Disney AND the magic of New Orleans?! Yeah, me neither. The only thing that would make it any better would be this yummy Firecracker Popcorn.
So I may not be the best at nail art, but even the simplest method could be used to give yourself a USA inspired manicure. I may just do the same colors as the ones in the picture above, but without the white star. Maybe add some glitter on one of the nails to give it that firework pop.
So, there you have it. Which of the three would you pick? Listing all three made me so excited I may pick more than one! Have any other last minute ideas for today?
